Community Fundraiser Set for Scottsdale’s Chaparral Park

Scottsdale residents are invited to participate in the upcoming Shine a Light Walk Arizona, a community fundraiser aimed at combating neurofibromatosis (NF).

 

The event is scheduled for Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon at Chaparral Park, located at 5401 N. Hayden Road in Scottsdale.

 

Hosted by the Children’s Tumor Foundation, this walk seeks to raise awareness and funds for NF research.

 

NF is a group of genetic disorders that cause tumors to form on nerve tissue throughout the body.

 

The event will feature live music by School of Rock Scottsdale, adding an energetic atmosphere to the day's activities.

 

Additionally, Phoenix Children’s is serving as a local mission sponsor, underscoring the city of Scottsdale's commitment to supporting those affected by NF.
