Family Promise of Greater Phoenix Expands Services with New Grants and Housing Initiatives |
Family Promise of Greater Phoenix, a Scottsdale-based nonprofit dedicated to combating family homelessness, has recently secured significant funding to enhance its services.
The organization received a $45,000 grant from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, aimed at bolstering its comprehensive support programs.
These programs include shelter, food, case management, childcare, financial training, and employment assistance for families in need.
In addition to this, Family Promise was awarded a $150,000 grant from JE Dunn Construction to expand its Emergency Shelter Program across four Valley sites.
This funding will improve facilities and increase capacity, ensuring more families have access to safe and supportive environments.
Furthering their innovative approach, the nonprofit has completed Legacy Village in Glendale—a community of six two-bedroom apartments constructed from repurposed shipping containers.
Designed around a central courtyard with amenities like a playground and sports court, Legacy Village offers a dignified, affordable housing solution for families transitioning out of homelessness.
These developments underscore Family Promise's commitment to providing holistic support and sustainable housing solutions for families in the Greater Phoenix area.
