Where to Find Scottsdale’s ‘Oh, Fudge!’ Christmas Story Themed 8-Course Feast

Scottsdale's acclaimed COURSE Restaurant is set to enchant diners with its annual '12 Days of Christmas' tasting menu, running from December 12 to 27. This year's theme draws inspiration from the beloved holiday film, 'A Christmas Story,' transforming iconic scenes into an eight-course culinary journey.

 

Chef Cory Oppold, a 'Chopped' champion and the creative force behind COURSE, has meticulously crafted each dish to reflect memorable moments from the movie. The menu includes:

 

You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out – A playful take featuring bigeye tuna, winter melon, yuzu, and masaga arare, delivering a flavorful punch.

 

Secret Decoder – An interactive course where diners use a decoder ring to unveil a dish of tender lamb with beans, leek, rosemary, and a savory jus.

 

Turkey Junkie – A nod to the film's infamous turkey scene, presenting confit turkey thigh, stuffing, Brussels sprouts, and gravy.

 

I Hate Meatloaf – Reimagining a classic with Wagyu meatloaf, pommes mousseline, red cabbage, and a traditional sauce.

 

Oh, Fudge! – A decadent dessert of chocolate fudge infused with coconut, toasted almond, and lime leaf curd.

 

Chef Oppold shares, 'Our 12 Days of Christmas menu captures the magic of the holiday season with dishes inspired by A Christmas Story. Each course is equal parts refined and holiday mischief, from the tongue-in-cheek You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out to the table-side fun of the Secret Decoder. It’s the holidays, COURSE-style: festive, fun, and full of flavor.'

 

The special menu is available Tuesday through Saturday, December 12-27, from 5 to 9 p.m., with a special Sunday service on December 21. Reservations are recommended and can be made by contacting the restaurant directly. The experience is priced at $180 per person.
