Scottsdale Husky Corvinus Seeks a Loving Home |
After overcoming health challenges, Corvinus is ready to find his forever family. |
Meet Corvinus, a resilient two-year-old Husky in Scottsdale who has triumphed over adversity and is now eager to share his boundless affection with a forever family.
Initially, Corvinus faced challenges with leashing at the shelter, likely due to untreated eye pain. Once outside, his friendly nature shone through as he eagerly sought affection. Upon rescue, he underwent surgery for entropion, a condition where the eyelids turn inward, causing discomfort. During the procedure, a micro-rupture in his other eye was discovered, necessitating its removal to alleviate his pain. Since then, Corvinus has been recovering beautifully and is already acting more like the happy, comfortable dog he was meant to be.
In his foster home, Corvinus took his time warming up, but once trust was established, his big-hearted, loving personality started to shine. He’s calm, well-behaved, and responds well to verbal correction and redirection. He loves snuggling with blankets, playing with toys, and (his favorite) stealing socks. He enjoys playing with other animals and has interacted well with small dogs outside the home. He’s learning to walk nicely on a leash and does well in his crate. Mealtime, belly rubs, cuddles, and treats are some of his favorite things in the world, and he’s not shy about letting you know when he’s ready for more affection.
Corvinus is looking for a home with patient, loving people. He’d do well in a variety of home environments, whether calm or active, as long as he has the companionship of kind humans and, ideally, a friendly dog buddy. He gets along with mellow or playful dogs alike and would enjoy a companion to keep him busy. He’s made huge strides and is showing every sign of being a loyal, affectionate, and grateful companion. He has not been around cats yet, but he may be okay; we can do a test if you are interested. We anticipate he would do well with children as well. He doesn’t seem to have a mean bone in his body! If you think there’s a place in your home for Corvinus, fill out an application to meet him today!
