Upcoming Adoption Events and How You Can Help

Scottsdale's AZ Husky Rescue is dedicated to providing care and finding forever homes for huskies in need.

Our Scottsdale location accepts animals from shelters across Arizona, providing medical attention, rehabilitation, and breed education to ensure successful adoptions.

Our mission is to help huskies in Scottsdale, Arizona, and beyond who need it most.

To view all available dogs and apply for adoption, please visit our “adopt” page and complete the Adoption Application.

We will contact you after reviewing your application.

Fostering a Scottsdale Husky is another vital way to support our mission.

We receive numerous requests to take in huskies each week and often have to turn some away due to limited resources.

If you can temporarily care for a husky in your home, you can help us save more lives.

Donations are crucial for covering medical expenses and the special needs of the dogs we rescue.

While adoption fees cover basic costs, your generous contributions enable us to assist every husky in need.

Every donation directly supports their care.

Raising awareness about Scottsdale husky adoptions and responsible pet ownership is essential.

By sharing our mission and participating in our events, you help us reach more potential adopters and supporters.

For more information on adoption, fostering, donating, or upcoming events, please contact us at woo@azhuskyrescue.org.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of huskies in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Why are Huskies Surrendered So Much?

Many of us adore the majestic nature of the Siberian Husky, with their striking blue eyes and wolf-like appearance. However, it's crucial to understand why these dogs are often found in shelters.

Exercising Needs: Huskies are known for their high energy levels. They require significant daily exercise to stay healthy and happy. Without adequate activity, they can become destructive. This need often proves too challenging for many households.

Escape Artists: Huskies are notorious escape artists. If left unsupervised, they can climb, dig, or sometimes even open fences. This behavior may lead to them being labelled as 'troublemakers,' prompting owners to surrender them.

Independent Nature: While they are incredibly intelligent, Huskies can also be independent and stubborn, making them more challenging to train than some other breeds.
