After overcoming adversity, Jameson is ready to bring joy to a loving family

Jameson, a spirited four-year-old Siberian Husky, has been under the care of AZ Husky Rescue in Scottsdale, Arizona, for over a year, eagerly awaiting a permanent home.

Rescued from the euthanasia list at a local Scottsdale shelter due to his timid nature, Jameson's journey is nothing short of remarkable.

As a puppy, he survived a rare and often fatal disease, distemper, leaving him with minor neurological quirks like a slightly protruding tongue and occasional difficulty with stairs.

These traits, however, do not dampen his zest for life.

Jameson is a bundle of energy, delighting in playtime with other dogs and chasing lizards in the yard.

He walks well on a leash with minimal pulling and has shown impressive recall, a rare trait among huskies.

While he tolerates crate time, he prefers the freedom of a yard where he can entertain himself.

Initially, Jameson exhibited some resource-guarding behaviors with treats.

His trainer noted, "Jameson is a super sweet and funny boy who tries to do things right."

He responds well to positive reinforcement, especially when treats are involved.

Affectionate and cuddly once he warms up, Jameson has been comfortable around teenagers and new acquaintances.

Jameson would thrive in an active household with patient owners who understand his unique needs.

A home with other energetic dogs would provide an excellent outlet for his vitality.

As the current featured Spotlight Dog, Jameson's adoption fee is waived for the right home.
