Rescued from the E-list, Solstice is ready to blossom with a patient family |
Meet Solstice, a delicate 2-year-old female husky mix in Scottsdale, Arizona, who is searching for her forever home.
Initially, Solstice faced challenges in both the shelter and her first foster home, where her extreme shyness led to her being placed on the euthanasia list.
Now, under the care of a dedicated foster, she is gradually learning to trust and adapt to a loving environment.
Solstice is still very much a puppy at heart, working on understanding household rules.
She can walk on a leash but requires a patient owner to help her overcome her fears.
Her submissive nature makes her excellent with other dogs, as she follows their cues and avoids conflict.
While she hasn't been tested with cats, her gentle demeanor suggests potential compatibility.
Currently, Solstice experiences anxiety and is working on settling into her foster home after leaving boarding.
She can be skittish around humans but is highly motivated by treats, which aids in building trust.
Quick Facts:
Rescue Status: E-listed due to fearfulness; now in foster care.
Compatibility: Good with other dogs; untested with cats.
Training: Working on crate training; prefers a Dakota crate over a wire one.
Personality: Shy but treat-motivated; requires patience and understanding.
