Scottsdale's Riverwalk Development to Host State-of-the-Art Sports Complex |
Scottsdale, Arizona, is set to become home to the world's largest indoor pickleball and padel facility, marking a significant milestone in the city's sports and entertainment landscape.
The upcoming complex, spanning over 196,000 square feet, will feature 40 indoor pickleball courts and 8 indoor padel courts, catering to the rapidly growing communities of both sports.
Additionally, the facility will boast a 1,200-seat professional arena designed to host major tournaments and events.
Located within the Riverwalk Development Project, this state-of-the-art venue will also include a sports performance center, a full-service restaurant and bar, a rooftop patio, and various other amenities aimed at enhancing the visitor experience.
The Riverwalk Development Project, located in the Talking Stick Entertainment District, is a thriving hub for business and lifestyle, featuring over 2 million square feet of office space and 600,000 square feet of retail amenities.
This strategic location offers easy access to major highways and is near numerous hotels and dining options, making it an ideal setting for the new sports complex.
Construction is slated to begin in mid-2025, with the facility expected to open its doors by late 2026.
This development is part of a broader initiative to enhance Scottsdale's appeal as a premier destination for sports and entertainment enthusiasts.
In addition to the pickleball and padel facility, the Riverwalk area is set to welcome other exciting ventures.
For instance, Cartique, a 100,000-square-foot auto and art concept, is planned to break ground in mid-2025, offering a unique blend of automotive showcases and artistic exhibits.
Furthermore, Home Run Dugout, a 65,000-square-foot baseball entertainment venue, is also in the pipeline, promising to add to the district's diverse attractions.
These developments align with Scottsdale's broader efforts to revitalize and invest in its infrastructure.
Scottsdale has committed $40 million for the 2025/26 fiscal year to enhance Old Town Scottsdale's infrastructure, safety, and overall experience, ensuring the area remains a top-tier destination for residents and visitors alike.
As Scottsdale continues to evolve and expand its offerings, the introduction of the world's largest indoor pickleball and padel facility underscores the city's commitment to fostering a vibrant and dynamic community.
Residents and visitors can look forward to a premier sports destination that caters to enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. |
