Scottsdale's culinary landscape is about to welcome a celebrated addition: Il Bracco, a Texas-based Italian restaurant known for its house-made pastas and fresh ingredients, is set to open its doors this spring.

Located at the corner of Scottsdale Road and Rose Lane, just south of Gainey Ranch, the new 5,000-square-foot establishment will feature a spacious 950-square-foot patio, offering ample al fresco dining options.

Construction is progressing steadily, with the restaurant aiming for a late March opening.

“It’s a big deal for us to come out here, and we’re really excited that Scottsdale is our first out-of-Texas market,” said Robert Quick, CEO of Western Addition Restaurant Group, the parent company of Il Bracco.

Quick, along with his wife Mary Lucille Quick and Matt Gottlieb, recently toured the active construction site, highlighting features like windows offering views into the kitchen and bakery, a pasta extruder for crafting handmade noodles, and specialized equipment dedicated to signature dishes.

Il Bracco's menu boasts a variety of Italian favorites, including the popular Spicy Gemelli with house-made noodles in a spicy vodka sauce, and Chicken Piccata paired with a kale salad.

American classics also make an appearance, such as a center-cut filet and a cheeseburger topped with aged provolone, Calabrian chilies, arugula, fennel, and red onions.

“Dallas and Houston, and certainly Scottsdale, are steakhouse towns,” Quick noted. “A lot of our most devoted clientele in Texas will claim to the world that we have the best steaks in town.”

The Scottsdale location will introduce exclusive dishes, with the team sourcing local ingredients like coffee, honey, and olive oil.

Notably, the kitchen will utilize Queen Creek Olive Mill extra virgin olive oil to finish dishes, including their signature Italian sundae, a dessert featuring vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream, pistachios, and a generous drizzle of olive oil.

Designed with an “Italian modernist villa” aesthetic, the restaurant will showcase terrazzo floors, a travertine bar, wood paneling, and marble accents.

“We kind of wanted it to feel vacation-inspired and to bring in those mid-century, quintessential Italian elements,” said Mary Lucille Quick, VP of Design.

Upon entering, guests will be greeted by views of both the kitchen and the bar, creating an energetic atmosphere that flows into a large dining room and an expansive patio with a fireplace.

Il Bracco has garnered a loyal following in Texas, being among Dallas’ most booked spots on reservation platforms and recognized as a favorite Italian restaurant.

With its Scottsdale debut, the team aims to replicate this success by offering high-quality, made-from-scratch dishes in a welcoming environment.

“Our philosophy of hospitality is to find a way to say yes,” Gottlieb emphasized, “and find every little opportunity we can to go above and beyond.”

Il Bracco is located at 6160 N. Scottsdale Road and is slated to open in late March.
