Western Week Rides Back Into Old Town Scottsdale in January 2026 |

Old Town Scottsdale is set to embrace its Western roots as Western Week returns from Saturday, January 24, through Sunday, February 1, 2026. This annual celebration offers a variety of family-friendly activities, cultural experiences, and community events that honor the city's rich history and Native American heritage.
Kicking off the festivities on January 24, the Scottsdale Farmers Market will host "Western Week at the Market" from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Attendees can enjoy live country music while browsing fresh produce, indigenous specialties, and artisan goods from local vendors.
On Sunday, January 25, the Parks & Rec Wild West Roundup invites families to the Scottsdale Civic Center from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This free event features games, crafts, and Western-style entertainment for all ages.
Art enthusiasts won't want to miss the Gold Palette ArtWalk on Thursday, January 29, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Participating galleries in the Scottsdale Arts District will showcase Western-themed art, offering extended hours and special activities.
A highlight of the week is the Parada del Sol Historic Parade on Saturday, January 31, starting at 9:30 a.m. With over 125 entries, including colorful floats, mounted riders, and marching bands, the parade celebrates Scottsdale's 75th anniversary with the theme "A Diamond in the Desert: Celebrating 75 Years of Scottsdale."
Following the parade, the Trail's End Festival transforms Old Town into a massive Western-style block party from noon to 5:00 p.m. The festival features live concerts, food vendors, a kids' zone, and more, providing fun for the whole family.
The Arizona Indian Festival returns to the Scottsdale Civic Center on Saturday and Sunday, January 31 and February 1. Hosted by the Arizona American Indian Tourism Association, the festival showcases representatives from all 22 Arizona tribes, offering traditional arts and crafts, cultural demonstrations, food, performances, and an indigenous food symposium.
For those interested in Scottsdale's history, "Scottsdale's Magical History Tour" takes place on Monday, January 26, at 4:00 p.m. at the Civic Center Library. Cowboy Bob Scott will share stories of growing up in Scottsdale in the early 1900s, accompanied by old photographs and a touch of magic.
As part of the festivities, the Hashknife Pony Express will ride into town on Friday, January 30, at 11:00 a.m. Riders will travel through Old Town Scottsdale, culminating in front of Western Spirit: Scottsdale's Museum of the West for a patriotic ceremony and festivities.
